EMPSF Expands Membership through New Service Offerings and an Online Community Strategy
The Emergency Medicine Patient Safety Foundation (EMPSF) approached Signal in the fall of 2008 to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy and service delivery infrastructure to help expand membership. At the outset of the engagement, Signal conducted a strategy development workshop with key members of the EMPSF board and developed a roadmap that successfully positioned EMPSF as the definitive source for Emergency Medicine patient safety information and training.
As part of the marketing strategy for EMPSF, Signal identified and developed five new membership categories, all offering a unique set of features and benefits. In addition to the expanded membership categories, Signal produced a new logo and collateral suite that effectively communicated the urgency of reducing errors in today’s emergency departments. Finally, Signal developed a new online presence for EMPSF that featured a wide array of Web 2.0-enabled community functionality, such as interactive forums, blogs, and an online training center.
